We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Account Officer (PEARL) to join our Accounts & Finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and supporting the company’s overall financial operations.
Responsibilities:
- Record all financial transactions (sales, purchases, payments, receipts, and journals) accurately and promptly in the ERP system.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and assist with management reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly).
- Verify supplier invoices, payment vouchers, and supporting documentation.
- Obtain necessary approvals from authorized signatories and prepare bank payment instructions.
- Support inter-company reconciliations with Pacegate Limited and Adipro.
- Maintain vendor payable summaries and ensure proper documentation of purchases and advances.
- Prepare and remit VAT, WHT, PAYE, and Pension schedules in line with statutory deadlines.
- Support external auditors by providing required documentation and reports.
- Participate in monthly physical stock counts and reconcile with production and warehouse records.
- Support periodic system reconciliations between Tally and eResource ERP during migration phases.
Experience / Requirements:
- Education: B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- Preferred: ICAN or ACCA qualification (or in view).
- Experience: 4–5 years of relevant experience in accounting or financial management.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and ERP systems (Tally / eResource ERP preferred).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general accounting software.
- Familiarity with Nigerian tax regulations (VAT, WHT, CIT, etc.).
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical ability.
- Strong coordination and communication skills to work with multiple departments.
- Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
