Account Officer

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Account Officer (PEARL) to join our Accounts & Finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and supporting the company’s overall financial operations.


Responsibilities:

  • Record all financial transactions (sales, purchases, payments, receipts, and journals) accurately and promptly in the ERP system.
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and assist with management reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly).
  • Verify supplier invoices, payment vouchers, and supporting documentation.
  • Obtain necessary approvals from authorized signatories and prepare bank payment instructions.
  • Support inter-company reconciliations with Pacegate Limited and Adipro.
  • Maintain vendor payable summaries and ensure proper documentation of purchases and advances.
  • Prepare and remit VAT, WHT, PAYE, and Pension schedules in line with statutory deadlines.
  • Support external auditors by providing required documentation and reports.
  • Participate in monthly physical stock counts and reconcile with production and warehouse records.
  • Support periodic system reconciliations between Tally and eResource ERP during migration phases.

Experience / Requirements:

  • Education: B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
  • Preferred: ICAN or ACCA qualification (or in view).
  • Experience: 4–5 years of relevant experience in accounting or financial management.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and ERP systems (Tally / eResource ERP preferred).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general accounting software.
  • Familiarity with Nigerian tax regulations (VAT, WHT, CIT, etc.).
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical ability.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills to work with multiple departments.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
